Aadhar Card Download

With the new system in place, Aadhar Card Download is now just a click away. You can now download Aadhar Card Duplicate copy, e-Aadhar card, through UIDAI website online.

If your Aadhar card is lost / misplaced OR if you have not yet received your Aadhar card, but have already received the SMS confirmation that your Aadhar card is processed successfully, you can Aadhar Card Download duplicate copy online.

Aadhar Card Download

The downloaded e-AADHAR card has same validity as the original one, which is delivered to you by post. This downloaded e-Aadhar Card will be accepted as a valid ID and residential proof wherever Aadhar Card is accepted.

For Aadhar card download duplicate copy, you will require to have the details from the enrollment acknowledgement slip that was given to you at the time of registration. If your Aadhar Card enrollment acknowledgement slip is lost, click here: AADHAAR card enrollment acknowledgement slip lost.


Go to the e-Aadhar online portal. Enter your registration details (Enrollment No. and Date time, Resident Name and Pincode) from the AADHAR acknowledgement slip.

Or if you know your Aadhar Card number, select the “Aadhar” radio button from “I have” option at the top. To access e-Aadhar online portal for AADHAR Card download, click here: e-AADHAAR Portal.

Upon successful entry, you will be sent a high security OTP (One Time Pin) password through SMS to your registered mobile phone to download e-Aadhar card. Once you enter the password, you will be presented with a page with a button to download Aadhar card duplicate copy in PDF format.

The PDF file is password protected for your safety. Your registered address pin code is the password to view the Aadhar card PDF file content. You can now take printout (in color, if possible) of the downloaded Aadhar Card PDF file and it can be used as your valid AADHAR card proof.

If you have lost your Aadhar card Enrollment ID and don’t know your AADHAR number, you can download Aadhar card by following these steps below:

  1. Go to https://resident.uidai.net.in/find-uid-eid
  2. Select appropriate option, “Aadhaar No (UID)” OR “Enrolment No (EID)”, under “You want to receive your lost:”
  3. Enter your full name
  4. Enter your email address
  5. Enter your registered Mobile Number
  6. Enter the security code as displayed and click on “Get OTP” button
  7. One Time Password (OTP) will be delivered to your mobile and/or email address
  8. In the box below, enter the OTP you just received on your mobile and/or email address
  9. Click on “Verify OTP”
  10. Now you will receive a message on your mobile with your Aadhar card number or Enrollment Id as you selected in Step 2 above
  11. Now go to https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
  12. Select appropriate option, “Enrollment Id” OR “Aadhar”, under “I have:”
  13. Enter your AADHAAR card number or Enrollment Id, full name, Pin Code, security text and mobile number
  14. Click on “Get OTP”
  15. One Time Password (OTP) will be delivered to your mobile and/or email address
  16. Enter the OTP you just received on your mobile in the “Enter OTP” box and click on “Validate and Download”
  17. Now you have downloaded your e-Aadhar card. Enter your Pin Code as the password when you open the PDF document
  18. You now have your e-Aadhar card, which you can print out
